Lauren Wilkins is an accomplished dance educator with more than 25 years experience in the classroom. She took her first ballet and tap class at the age of 3, and has been dancing ever since. In addition to her B.A. from the University of California- Santa Barbara, Lauren holds teaching certifications from Acrobatic Arts (Advanced), Progressing Ballet Technique, Alixa Flexibility, and Dance Masters of America as a 25-year member. She has also trained extensively in Pilates and Gyrotonic technique.
Lauren was the director of Camarillo Academy of Performing Arts from 2013-2022, where she taught and choreographed thousands of students in ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, musical theater, contemporary and lyrical. Her students went on to study at Pacific Northwest Ballet,
the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theater, AMDA, the Juilliard School, University of Oklahoma City University, Texas State University and many more prestigious programs throughout the country. Lauren has also taught aerial and acrobatics for The Aerial Studio, under the direction of Carmen and Gregg Curtis.
Lauren lives in Camarillo with her husband and three daughters, and is thrilled to be part of Camarillo Dance Collective. Ms. Rashelle Soudani was a three-year-old student in the first class that Lauren ever taught, and this next step in the journey from teacher to mentor and friend is so special
